Attorney Sam Setyan

Samvel "Sam" Setyan is the principal attorney at Setyan Law APC. He earned his history degree at UCLA and his law degree at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. In law school he was picked for the Hobbs/Poels District Attorney Practicum, and the American Board of Trial Advocates selected him for its fellowship program. Both are about trying cases, and that is how Sam prepares every file: as if it will be argued in front of a jury.

After law school he worked at one of the largest employment litigation firms in California, then opened Setyan Law in 2021. He has spent his career on one side of the table, representing individual people against large companies that have lawyers on staff and a habit of saying no. How we handle lemon law cases

• You work with the attorney. Sam reviews your repair orders himself and stays on your case from the first call to the final paperwork. You are not handed off to a case manager you have never met.
• We start with the paper trail. Lemon law cases are won on repair orders, dates, and mileage. We collect every record before we make a demand, so the manufacturer sees a complete file.
• Clear answers on fees. If you win, California's lemon law requires the manufacturer to pay your reasonable attorney fees and costs. Our written fee agreement explains how fees and costs are handled in every outcome, and we go through it with you before you sign.
• Three languages. We talk with clients in English, Spanish, and Armenian, and we explain every offer in the language you are most comfortable with.

Where we work

We are based in Los Angeles and represent drivers across California. Most lemon law cases can be handled by phone, email, and document upload, so you do not need to live near our office. If your case goes to court, it is filed where the law allows, often in the county where you bought the car or where you live.
